NOTICE
Cookies
Updated on 5 October 2026.
A cookie is a small piece of data that the site leaves in your browser to find it again on the next page. Videoludo uses three, all its own: none comes from another site, none is read by third parties, none is used to profile you.
vl_sessione — keeps the session open while you go around the site, so that between one page and the next the site knows it is always you. It lasts until you close the browser.
vl_accesso — is the “stay logged in”: it brings you back in without retyping the password. It is there only if you asked for it by ticking that box when you logged in. It lasts sixty days and is renewed at every use, so a stolen one stops working as soon as you come back.
vl_consenso — remembers the choice you make about cookies, including the categories you turned off. It lasts six months. It is itself a necessary cookie, and that is not a paradox: remembering that you said no is the only way not to ask you again on every page.
None of the three can be read by the page scripts, and none travels when the request comes from another site.
Because there is nothing to ask: they are needed to do what you came to do. For cookies strictly necessary to provide a service you requested yourself, consent is not required — so says art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code, which transposes the European directive 2002/58/EC. We explain them to you, and that is all.
You can refuse them anyway, from the link at the bottom of the window. In that case the site stays readable but you cannot enter the games: your career is a row tied to who you are, and without these cookies the site does not know who you are — every page would be the first day.
Today on Videoludo no advertising from external sites is active. The page does not load a single third-party script — not Google, not others — and no advertising data is collected about you: neither by us nor by anyone else.
We already ask you the question, though, because advertising will come in the future: it is the only thing that can sustain a free site with no subscriptions. There are two categories, they arrive switched off, and neither of them puts one more cookie on your computer — the first does nothing today, the second only changes how much the counter you see at the bottom of the page remembers about you:
Advertising — The banners that pay for the site: Google and the like. Without these the advertising does not disappear — it becomes generic, and earns far less.
Audience measurement — The counter at the bottom of the page recognises you when you come back, so it counts different people and does not count you twice. We keep a fingerprint of your address, never the address, and nothing else: not which pages you open, not when.
The day they really arrive, the preferences you saved apply, without having to redo them: the site reads your choice before building the page, so a script you have not accepted does not enter the page even for an instant. If a new category were created in the meantime, the window would ask again: a choice made on two items does not hold for three.
From Cookie preferences, which you find at the bottom of every page of the site and the games. Turning off is exactly as easy as turning on, and withdrawing consent costs no more than giving it: it is a right, not a courtesy (art. 7 of EU Regulation 2016/679).
You can also delete the cookies from the browser settings, or log out of the account. If you choose nothing, the window stays there waiting: closing it with the ✕ leaves only the necessary ones active.
Who handles the data, what we collect when you sign up, how long we keep it and what you can ask for is in theprivacy notice.
